Webinar – Smartphones and apps: consumer perception versus reality

Date 11 April 2012 03:00PM - 04:00PM
Venue Online

In this webinar, Principal Analysts Ronan de Renesse and Martin Scott presented findings from two separate sets of primary research on smartphone consumer usage trends.

They examined the differences between how consumers think they use mobile applications and how they actually use them, based on data from our Connected Consumer survey as well as data from an on-device monitoring application. Identifying the difference between perception and reality helps stakeholders to understand the relative importance of different smartphone apps and usage behaviour.

In addition, the webinar focused on:

  • the impact of various smartphone platforms and device manufacturers on mobile content and apps usage
  • how operators can use mobile content and apps usage to drive an increase in smartphone adoption and mobile data usage on their network.

The webinar slides and recording are available upon request.
