Organised by Westminster Forum, this seminar will assess the way forward for UK spectrum policy and management - looking at regulation, innovation and international relationships.

Areas for discussion include:

  • Demand - assessing increasing demand pressures and accommodating long standing frictions between key users, as Ofcom completes consulting on 2.3 and 3.4 GHz awards;
  • Management - key issues in allocation and regulation domestically and internationally, as well as priorities and developments in innovation;
  • Development of 5G - what are the next steps for developing the framework, including the timely allocation of bandwidth and encouraging investment; and
  • UK policy and international influence - priorities for UK policy within organisations such as CEPT, ETSI and ITU, and implications for the European Electronic Communications Code.
