Andrew Wright has been with the company since joining from Nortel in 1994. Andrew has advised operators, policy makers and financial institutions on all aspects of the mobile communications industry, from deployment of new technologies to commercial strategy and sector regulation.
In the regulatory field Andrew has assisted a number of independent regulators and government organisations with the liberalisation of spectrum management regimes, interconnection frameworks and interconnect rates for mobile communications, and development of policies for the mobile sector. In the technology field Andrew has undertaken studies involving the deployment of new technologies such as WiMAX, 3G technology upgrades and satellite-based mobile communication systems – he also works with operators on pricing, distribution and other aspects of commercial strategy. Andrew regularly advises the financial community on transactions in the mobile area, including acquisition and financing of mobile operators and mobile technology companies.
