I joined Analysys Mason in 1995 as a Consultant. Along the way I have attained the mantle of Chartered Engineer, and am a Member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology, as well as a Member of the Institute of Directors. Analysys Mason encourages staff, through training and sponsorship, to seek further qualifications and to play an active role in professional bodies.
It’s ‘a great company to work for’, or so said the job advert – and so it has proved! Over the past 12 years I have been primarily involved in public sector work, both in the UK and further afield. A key Analysys Mason contract has been providing technical assurance to the Home Office/ Police Information Technology Organisation/ National Police Improvements Agency, as well as individual police forces, for what is now the Airwave digital trunked radio programme.
Through this work I have had the opportunity to understand a great deal about how digital trunked radio, and TETRA in particular, fits into mission critical mobile communications requirements for public safety organisations across the globe . This has led to work in Norway, Austria, Bahrain, Ireland and Jamaica, to name just a few of the places that Analysys Mason projects have taken me. The thing I take from all of the projects I have been involved with is the opportunity to make a difference for our clients.
Analysys Mason remains ‘a great company to work for’, and it is a pleasure to lead the talented team I have here in Public Sector unit.
