Ian Adkins is a Senior Manager for IT and telecoms consultancy Analysys Mason, leading the organisation’s work with the UK’s local government sectors. He specialises in sourcing strategies and procurement management and has in-depth knowledge of European public sector procurement legislation.
During his twelve years with Analysys Mason, Ian has worked on numerous broadband intervention projects. Assignments include coverage analysis, cost modelling and implementation models, State aid and funding applications through to management of the procurement, implementation and contractual phases, resulting in the successful delivery of broadband services to end users. Ian was in the Analysys Mason team that authored the report Models for efficient and effective public sector interventions in next-generation broadband access networks published by the Broadband Stakeholders Group in the UK.
Ian also specialises in the economic development opportunity afforded by ICT in new-build property developments. He has developed ICT frameworks for property workplaces, and published an ICT Toolkit, guide and structured process to help incorporate ICT in new-build and regeneration developments.
Ian has a BSc (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bath and is a Chartered Engineer.
