Europe and the USA: mobile revenue was at best static in 2009, despite growth in mobile data

European mobile service revenue declined for the first time in 2009, despite double-digit growth in mobile data revenue in many countries. The overall decrease was small, but it is still a significant milestone. The results were marginally better in the US market, where growth in mobile data revenue was twice as large as that in Europe.
