Operators will struggle to replicate their role in fleet management in other sectors

As we have discussed previously, telecoms operators need to provide more than connectivity if they are to generate significant revenue from IoT. To maximise revenue, operators need to own the full value chain, but there are few examples of them doing so. Fleet management is, however, one of the areas where operators are playing a major role, either through partnership or, in some cases, acquisition.
