Worldwide telecoms service revenue is projected to grow at a CAGR of 1.8% between 2022 to 2027, up from a 1% CAGR for the period between 2017 and 2022. Traditional telecoms services such as mobile handsets, mobile broadband and fixed voice and fixed broadband will account for the majority (72%) of telecoms retail revenue in 2027. Revenue growth for traditional services will be driven by higher data spend, particularly in North America and emerging Asia–Pacific.

This report and data annex provide:

  • a 5-year forecast of around 200 mobile and fixed KPIs for the worldwide telecoms market and for eight regions (note that there are an additional 150 KPIs for Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe)
