Business optimisation projects helped to generate growth in the almost flat billing market in 2010, as concerns over the economy in many markets drove service providers to shelve large transformation projects and focus on projects with better short-term results.
The billing market generated USD4.81 million in revenue worldwide in 2010, up 2.2% from 2009. The economic climate suppressed growth more than we had expected – particularly in EMEA – but growth in other areas compensated for this trend.
