Fixed–mobile bundling for SMEs: operator strategies and approaches

Terry van Staden Analyst, Research

"Operators will need to provide the right incentives to drive the take-up of their bundled services, which is currently limited in most markets."

Operators are increasingly looking to convergence to defend, or even augment, revenue from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). However, most SMEs still use different providers for their fixed and mobile services. Operators will need to provide the right incentives, in terms of both discounts and value-added features, to encourage SMEs to take bundles.

This report provides:

  • an analysis of the current take-up of bundled services and the barriers hindering further adoption
  • an analysis of the various incentives that operators can use to encourage SMEs to take bundled services
  • recommendations for operators on how to approach bundling and drive their position in convergence.
