DNA Finland rolls out UMTS900

In November 2008, DNA Finland revealed it was expanding its 3G coverage using UMTS900, thus becoming the second Finnish operator to refarm its 900MHz spectrum for 3G services and one of only a handful of operators in the world to do so. This case study of DNA’s UMTS900 field trial and early deployment experience is based on an interview with Jarkko Laari (Development Manager, Radio Networks, DNA Finland) conducted in November 2008.
