Almost two-and-a-half years after Tiscali revealed its intention to sell its large but ailing UK business, the company announced on 8 May 2009 that it had found a buyer: TalkTalk Telecom. Tiscali UK’s broadband subscribers are its most valuable asset, but their value is dwindling – largely as a result of the increasing availability of attractive alternatives to DSL, including mobile broadband.
