Growth in the number of mobile broadband subscriptions and in datacard traffic in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) is unsustainable. Network capacity constraints and demand for high-bandwidth content have led to a deterioration in service quality, prompting subscribers to abandon their mobile broadband subscriptions. Operators should transfer in-building data traffic to fixed networks, instead of trying to upgrade network capacity.
