Ironically, the European country that stands to gain most from accelerated DSL is the one where VDSL has had the slowest start: France.

Accelerated DSL technologies (vectoring, bonding and phantom mode) improve the speed and stability of DSL lines, and also expand coverage of superfast broadband. This Viewpoint quantifies the additional reach of these technologies on actual national copper networks.
