Many of the applications under consideration at Oi are not even in the pilot stage yet, but nevertheless this is a good example of a service provider that is thinking strategically about what analytics can do across the business.
The Brazilian service provider Oi is trialling some innovative uses of analytics in its business, which include social network analysis, revenue assurance and IP network optimisation. Although early results are promising, this case study is more indicative of the potential of analytics rather than a proof of concept.
