Quantitative surveys are a valuable way to gain insight for developing profitable products and services, and for positioning a company in relation to other market players. However, cost-effective quantitative research requires both an understanding of the issues and expertise in survey methodologies.

Case study: A major supplier of revenue assurance solutions sought to understand operators’ perspectives on revenue assurance, the extent of revenue losses from various causes and the ways in which operators addressed revenue assurance challenges. We undertook a survey of telecoms operators around the world, analysing responses in order to estimate revenue losses and measure attitudes towards revenue assurance processes and solutions. The survey results were used by the client as a key element of its marketing campaigns and to inform strategy.
Case study: For a blue-chip UK company seeking to examine opportunities in the wholesale telecoms services market, we surveyed buyers of wholesale services and analysed responses numerically to test attitudes and price sensitivity to a number of specific service concepts. We identified the current and likely future opportunities, and recommended actions. Our client used the results of our work to inform its market entry strategy.
