Enterprises in emerging markets are keen to use cloud services for many of the same reasons as those in more developed markets: lower costs, greater accessibility and more flexibility. Suppliers serving these markets offer a combination of infrastructure, platforms and applications to support cloud services. This Comment examines the technology challenges of enterprises in emerging markets and introduces our research in this area.
