Convergence Strategies

The Convergence Strategies research programme is new to the Analysys Mason research portfolio.

The programme provides strategic insight and support to telcos, mobile operators and service providers that are developing fixed–mobile converged (FMC) services.

Our research focuses on retail FMC strategies and provides strong empirical evidence of the policies that determine their success.

See where, how, and why FMC strategies are appearing outside European markets, indicating the variety of approaches that is required for success in different regions, particularly Asia, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Our research also critically assesses the financial and performance advantages to be gained from co-ordinating, and ultimately fusing, fixed broadband, mobile networks and broadcast networks.

KEY THEMES

  • Optimising quadruple-play bundling for market needs; tactics for new markets and new customer segments.
  • Building (unique) new services on the FMC platform.
  • Understanding the commercial impact (market share of subscribers, size of wallet, profitability) of FMC networks; financial and operational forecasts for providing FMC services.
  • Designing the future converged network from the bottom up.
