Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) used its analyst day in Riga in January 2018 to outline its progress on the strategy it presented in May 2017, covered in our previous article. ALE's strategy centres around two elements: vertical-specific solutions and a generic unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) offering. While it has made progress with its vertical solutions, ALE faces a significant challenge in gaining UCaaS users.
