The OpenStack Summit, held in May 2017, showcased the breadth of OpenStack and its use as cloud creation and management software by telecoms and other industries. AT&T, and Verizon, along with other large communications service providers (CSPs) such as China Mobile, Deutsche Telekom and Telefónica, demonstrated why the complexity of OpenStack may be worth harnessing.
