New types of fraud are developing in telecoms and known types are becoming more complex. New techniques must be deployed to identify and manage fraud cases, as a result. Communications service providers (CSPs) that intend to address fraud better should use their big data analytics (BDA) platforms, in addition to specialist application tools. BDA platforms enable real-time monitoring and machine learning to spot new fraud and provide automated actions to prevents attacks or reduce their impact.
