"New big data technology enables CSPs to rationalise standalone network analytics tools, and supports a DevOps approach that will improve their ability to add new functionality."

The use of big data analytics solutions to support network analytics use cases are helping communications service providers (CSPs) to rationalise siloes of network systems tools into consolidated data-rich solutions. General-purpose analytics tools enable CSPs to create a platform that can be used to support the functions of many different applications and a DevOps approach to changing or enhancing network operational processes.

This report:

  • assesses the rationale for network analytics
  • explains the problem that is created when CSPs have many separate applications
  • defines use cases and drivers of new network analytics solution deployments.
