Assisting a cable company with its response to BDUK's universal broadband exercise

Project experience | Regulation and policy

A cable company called on Analysys Mason to help it respond to a request for information (RFI) from BDUK on its theoretical exercise of universal broadband access.

We developed a scenario-based business plan to estimate the investment gap. The business plan modelled the demand for, and revenues from, each of the planned services (Internet access, voice and TV) in each of the sample regions.

We also modelled network investment in significant detail, liaising with the client's technical team.

Based on this analysis, we also provided input into our client's final RFI response.
