Amrish Kacker is a Partner at Analysys Mason and specialises in supporting board-level investment and strategy decision making in the telecoms sector. He has more than 18 years of telecoms and media consulting experience and has worked with operators, regulators and financial institutions across the Asia–Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
He works extensively with mobile operators in the Asia–Pacific and has been involved in a range of projects covering 4G strategy, spectrum valuation, network sharing, digital services initiatives and pricing for data profitability. He has recently supported several regional operators in developing their 4G business cases and successfully acquiring spectrum, including IoT. Amrish has also undertaken several due diligence projects focusing on wireless operators and internet services companies, also in the payments space. He is currently leading the big data analytics initiative within Analysys Mason, having recently directed a project on capex optimisation using analytics.
Amrish has a diverse background, having worked for a large European strategy consulting firm for three years as well as spending more than five years in sales and marketing at Unilever. Amrish holds an engineering degree in Computer Science from BITS, Pilani, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
