COVID-19 scenarios for telecoms operator service revenue: European forecast 2019–2024
This spreadsheet quantifies the impact that COVID-19 may have on telecoms operators' prospects in Europe. We examine five individual markets (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK) and provide regional total results for Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe.
It provides revenue and connections forecasts for ten service categories, examining residential and business segments separately. This data annex expands on the global and regional analysis provided in COVID-19 scenarios for telecoms operator service revenue: worldwide forecasts 2019–2024.
We built three COVID-19 scenarios around different GDP forecasts based on third-party data: mild, moderate and severe. We quantified the impact of each scenario on telecoms operator revenue for residential and business services including fixed and mobile voice and data, and specialist business services. These forecasts explore the impact on the revenue and subscriber base for operators.
