F5G: new frontiers for fibre access

This report presents a preliminary view of F5G, a vision of full-fibre access networking that goes well beyond the familiar GPON-based fibre-to-the-premises paradigm. We assess some strengths and weaknesses of the vision and discuss where vendors need to focus to make any of it reality.
