Operators can benefit from offering cyber security as a broadband value-added service
Consumers’ homes are increasingly vulnerable to cyber attacks due to the growing number of connected devices and the increasing age of some of these devices. Operators are the primary gateway to the internet for consumers, so cyber attacks may erode consumers’ trust in their service providers and could negatively affect customer loyalty and satisfaction.
Consumers are interested in cyber-security services; around 74% of the respondents of our 2024 consumer survey said that they are interested in taking network or computer security services. Operators should therefore consider offering cyber-security services as a broadband value-added service (VAS) to turn the risk of cyber attacks into an opportunity.
