Interns

Some offices hire interns regularly, whereas others consider internship opportunities on a case-by-case basis, often based on project pipelines. Register your interest for an internship here, and we will get back to you when an opportunity opens.

Our interns play an active role in our projects. If all goes well, interns often have the opportunity to take up a permanent position with us, either straight after the internship or after completing studies.

Graduate consultants

Our graduates immediately become core members of our teams and are directly involved in delivering client engagements. They regularly work with members of the senior leadership team and receive continuous mentoring. They are part of our international team of consultants and have the opportunity to collaborate on projects across the world.

The typical responsibilities of a graduate consultant include:

  • conducting high-quality research to collect data
  • carrying out quantitative and qualitative analysis of that data 
  • modeling and forecasting trends using software such as Excel
  • providing critical analysis and making actionable recommendations
  • preparing presentations and supporting the team with deliverables
  • liaising with external stakeholders to conduct interviews and collect data.

Experienced consultants

Our experienced consultants play a significant role in delivering our projects. They often lead workstreams, manage small projects and coach our graduate consultants. Our project teams rely on their analytical and strategic skills, which are essential to the successful delivery of our projects.

The typical responsibilities of an experienced consultant include:

  • developing frameworks to execute projects
  • building and defining analytical models
  • applying these models to data and analysing the results
  • managing workstreams and small projects.

As a Consultant, I have worked on a number of major transaction support projects, where my main responsibilities have been to review operators’ business plans and network architecture. I have also built a comprehensive model for the European Investment Bank to estimate the financial requirements of improving mobile networks in rural EU27 countries; for this project, we have been invited to present our findings to the European Commission.

Management

Our Managers are responsible for the day-to-day running of projects, including structuring solutions, managing project teams and synthesising outputs to ensure the successful delivery of the project. They interact with everyone on the project team; this includes guiding and coaching junior staff and engaging with the leadership team and the clients.

The typical responsibilities of a Manager include:

  • leading the day-to-day execution of projects
  • developing tailor-made solutions and work plans within projects
  • guiding and developing Consultants
  • leading client management and interaction.
Management

Leadership

Our leadership team plays a key role in selling and delivering projects to clients. This includes developing relationships with both existing and new clients.

Our senior leaders are experts in one or more areas of the TMT sector, and are responsible for setting up the strategic direction of their offices, teams or practice areas.

The typical responsibilities of a member of the leadership team include:

  • generating opportunities and leading the development of proposals
  • leading complex projects with large teams of experienced and junior consultants
  • developing specialist focus areas and building our intellectual property (IP) in these areas
  • overseeing staff development and upholding a collaborative culture.

Graduates

If you are a graduate, you will join our research team as a Research Analyst. 

Our research graduate scheme will give you the opportunity to work in several of our research practices, thereby allowing you to understand what we do as a company and how we play a significant role in the TMT sector. This scheme has a strong track record of laying early career foundations and developing skilled industry analysts.

The typical responsibilities of a Research Analyst include:

  • collecting data via extensive desk-based research
  • Excel modelling and forecasting including working with and manipulating large data sets
  • researching market developments to identify trends and draw conclusions about the future of these developments
  • writing short reports on industry topics, including country and regional forecast reports.

Experienced analysts

Candidates with experience in a research or analyst role in the TMT sector are likely to join us as an Analyst or Senior Analyst. 

Our experienced analysts work with the team to produce original and engaging research content on hot topics (link to trending section on corporate website) in the TMT industry. They develop specialist knowledge by tracking industry developments and companies’ strategies. Building peer relationships with thought leaders in the industry is an important aspect of the role.

The typical responsibilities of an experienced analyst include:

  • writing original research content on specific topics
  • analysing data and formulating a qualitative opinion on the basis of that analysis
  • becoming an expert on the industry’s hot topics
  • interacting with clients and building peer relationships within the industry.

As a Senior Analyst covering the Middle East and Africa, I track and comment on telecoms developments in rapidly growing and contrasting markets. I also engage with research and consulting colleagues to help clients in the region to identify their customers’ needs, assess market challenges and evaluate the competition.

Our Principal Analysts have a strong reputation in the TMT sector. They are leading thinkers in the industry and share their expertise at events around the world. They are responsible for creating content, and work with other analysts to ensure that these pieces are planned in line with overall objectives. Our Principal Analysts also manage and help our junior analysts to develop their skills and careers.

The typical responsibilities of a Principal Analyst include:

  • managing and delivering one or more research programmes 
  • building up thought leadership and creating original and high-quality content
  • managing and setting the direction of a team
  • attending and presenting at industry events.

Our leadership team plays a key role in setting the direction of our research division and identifying the hot industry topics. They have world-leading expertise in one or more areas of the TMT sector. They also play a key role in developing relationships with existing and new clients, and it is their responsibility to develop and enhance their teams, and to train the next generation of experts.
