For flat-panel antenna (FPA) vendors, early decisions play a critical role in shaping long-term success. These decisions include the choice of target vertical and satellite network compatibility, which directly affect their strategic positioning. To compete in the market effectively, FPA vendors must balance innovation with targeted strategies, using partnerships and product differentiation to capture both short-term revenue and sustained growth across diverse verticals. Simultaneously, FPA vendors must adapt to evolving satellite infrastructures by supporting both Ku and Ka band frequencies, balancing near-term opportunities with longer-term positioning. This way, they develop multi-orbit capabilities in close collaboration with systems integrators (SIs) to remain competitive and support long-term growth. As such, SIs must build a path forward based on the partner ecosystem, factoring in frequency bands, verticals and architecture to optimise future growth.
