The latest edition of Analysys Mason’s Submarine cable database reveals that 20 new submarine cables became ready for service (RFS) in 2025, connecting over 31 countries across 7 regions. The database provides details on over 700 submarine cables worldwide, including 556 operational, 44 in-deployment and 100 planned cables. It contains information on ownership, equipment suppliers, landing points, length, fibre pairs and capacity.
