Arun is a Principal in our Dubai office and works on emerging digital services. He is an expert in fintech, AI and IoT, with a particular interest in how digital innovation feeds into the sustainability agenda.
Arun is enthusiastic about Analysys Mason’s role in the democratisation of technology and access to data and digital services. This was central to a recent project in the Middle East, in which Arun helped a public-sector client to accelerate the adoption of several emerging technologies. The project covered the metaverse, IoT, smart technologies (smart energy, cities and agriculture) and explored use cases for AI, giving the client a clear sense of which technologies offered the greatest potential to support the country’s development as a technology leader.
Arun holds a Bachelor’s degree in telecoms engineering, and an MBA from INSEAD. He spent three years in investment banking before joining our Delhi office in 2010. At the end of 2015, he moved to another consultancy, but re-joined our Dubai office in early 2022.
For Arun, Analysys Mason's size provides an edge that he hasn't found in other consultancies: large enough to offer our clients a global perspective from an international team with local knowledge, while simultaneously remaining nimble and agile, giving our clients personal commitment and attention. We work cooperatively, drawing on everyone's depth of insight and expertise. Analysys Mason’s collaborative ethos is central to how Arun’s projects are run, and is the reason we are able to offer clients more detailed analysis and robust problem-solving.
Arun finds the futuristic optimism of Dubai invigorating and inspiring, but also values old-world charm. He is a committed viewer of test cricket: the slow accumulation of a patient innings offers a very different perspective to the frenetic pace of change in Dubai and in the tech industry.
