Matt is a Managing Partner at Analysys Mason and has been with the company since 1997. He is the head of Analysys Mason’s office in Manchester.
Matt has directed hundreds of client consulting projects. In recent years, he has led numerous commercial and technical due diligence projects for infrastructure investors and telecoms operators covering B2C, B2B and pan-European fibre assets, data centres and IoT businesses. He also advises incumbent telecoms operators, cablecos and altnets on a wide range of strategic matters.
Matt has a long history advising on broadband policy in the UK and Europe, as well as providing advice on national broadband plans around the world. Related to this, he was invited to participate in two panels covering ‘Telecommunication industry in the post-COVID-19 world’ for ITU’s Economic Experts Roundtable. Some of his recent client work has focused on improving broadband connectivity in developing markets.
Matt has also acted as an expert witness in competition cases relating to wholesale networks in the UK and Ireland. Matt holds a PhD in aerospace engineering from the University of Manchester.
