Vivek has been involved in the space industry since 2010 and is a member of our Space team. He joined Analysys Mason when Northern Sky Research (NSR) was acquired in 2022. He has previously led the Frost & Sullivan Space Research Program as an Industry Principal. At Frost & Sullivan, he authored reports on market research topics including small satellites, mega constellations, enterprise broadband and satellite communications, and led multiple client-centric consulting assignments including one linked to the UK Space Agency Spaceport business model.
Vivek worked in the system integration group of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bangalore for 7 years (2010–2017). His responsibilities included satellite configuration studies, system integration, mass properties management, launch interface studies and project management. During his tenure at ISRO, he worked on seven satellite projects including SARAL (an Indo-French satellite) and ASTROSAT (India’s first dedicated astronomy satellite). He was also a core team member and was responsible for the design and development of ISRO’s first nano satellite platform, INS-1A and INS-1B.
Vivek has an aerospace MBA degree from Toulouse Business School-Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a B.Tech. in mechanical engineering from SASTRA University. He also worked as M.S. research scholar at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where he analysed insect aerodynamics/micro aerial vehicles using computational fluid dynamics techniques.
