Cablecos are increasingly upgrading their networks to FTTP. This strategy could deliver significant opex savings for cablecos, while also ensuring that they remain competitive with FTTP rivals. However, cablecos must consider the challenges associated with migrating retail subscribers to fibre. In this article, we assess how cablecos can manage the FTTP migration process and outline the lessons that can be learned from early movers.
