TM Forum held its DTW-Ignite 2025 event in Copenhagen on 17–19 June 2025. ‘Artificial intelligence (AI) and data’ was one of the three key themes of the event, and several operators and vendors made announcements regarding hot topics such as AI agents, agentic AI frameworks and their role in enabling autonomous network operations. It was clear from the event that the telecoms industry is rapidly developing innovations related to these concepts, but there are ongoing challenges in operators’ data environments that will affect the scale and timing of the adoption of agentic AI.

This article discusses highlights from the event and their implications for both AI and data platform providers and telecoms applications providers.
