Hyperscalers are building and leasing high-power data centre campuses all over Western Europe
Analysis of Analysys Mason’s Data centre database: Asia–Pacific and Europe reveals that hyperscalers only own a fraction of Europe’s operational data centres, even though they operate numerous large data-centre campuses. They also lease space in a range of third-party facilities. However, they are responsible for considerable investment across the region, and are currently developing portfolios of vast, high-capacity data centres and are expanding their footprints by leasing or acquiring upcoming data centre sites from other investors.
