Operators can now better capture the second-home broadband market due to improved BSS and FWA
Millions of residential properties are ‘second homes’, only seasonally occupied. Many have been historically connected by affordable mobile broadband. However, the opportunity to supply these properties with a higher-ARPU, flexible home-broadband service is starting to be captured by operators in countries such as Italy, Germany and Croatia.
Operators in these countries have experimented with pause/activate mechanics, seasonal FWA capacity and second line discounts. Other operators can potentially replicate the best practice distilled from these approaches.
