The impact of mobile energy reduction on opex

This report analyses and estimates the opex efficiencies that operators could achieve by reducing, through different approaches, energy consumption in the RAN. It provides an opex 'benchmark' for operators that are considering these different approaches. 

This report provides:

• an overview of the opex challenges that operators face in relation to energy
• an overview of strategies that operators can take to reduce mobile energy consumption and associated costs
• an analysis of the opex efficiencies that different operators could achieve by reducing energy consumption in the RAN.
