Cloud Infrastructure Strategies
The Cloud Infrastructure Strategies programme helps telecoms operators, communications service providers (CSPs) and vendors to understand the impact of the transformation of the network into multi-cloud digital infrastructure, which will drive USD75 billion cumulative spending between 2019–2023. The programme tracks the adoption of the cloud-native digital infrastructure (5G core, edge, vRAN, public and hybrid cloud), its underpinnings (such as Kubernetes, container-as-a-service (CaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), NFV infrastructure (NFVI), bare metal and related acceleration technologies, and the disruption that it causes in the value chain.
Key themes
- The architectural vision of cloud-native networks with embedded automated operations.
- Forecast of operators’ and CSPs’ telco, IT and edge cloud computing spend, for products and professional services.
- Analysis of the path(s) that operators and CSPs should consider on their cloud journey using benchmark research.
- Critical NFV, SDN and cloud computing competitive analysis, business case evaluation and advice to help clients to capture the benefits of ‘software-isation.
