Duncan Swan is a Partner focusing on Analysys Mason’s public sector clients. He has extensive experience in the business strategy, design, implementation and project management of telecommunication systems across a range of voice and data technologies. His experience has evolved from working primarily with radio communications, for both mobile and fixed applications, and associated technologies, gained from working in supplier and varied end-user environments.
Duncan has worked as one of the project advisers for a multi-billion pound UK government contract designed to deliver a digital mobile communications infrastructure for the emergency services, and he currently holds the position of Technical Lead for one of the key sharers, the Ambulance Service, in relation to its migration onto this infrastructure. He continues to provide strategic and technical input with regard to mobile communications assignments for public safety organisations worldwide and, in particular, Europe and the Caribbean.
Duncan has over 20 years’ experience of radio systems engineering, gained through working for Philips Communication Systems and, since 1995, for Analysys Mason. He is a regular speaker at international conferences and contributor/editorial adviser to industry journals.
