Kyrio’s OTT-based approach to fixed and wireless network convergence can deliver benefits to operators
Vendors have made many attempts to offer solutions that enable operators to converge fixed and wireless networks. Such solutions can combine bandwidth from different networks, and are designed to ensure that subscribers are connected to the best-quality networks available and can seamlessly switch between networks. However, take-up of many of these solutions has been low. This article assesses vendor Kyrio’s over-the-top (OTT) approach to network convergence and whether it can deliver benefits to operators.
