Communications service providers (CSPs) are looking for new ways in which to reduce the costs and operational complexity of their network management systems. Vendors can help CSPs in this regard by including a SaaS deployment option in their solutions portfolio, thereby enabling CSPs to move their network control, orchestration and management systems to cloud-native, microservices-based delivery models.
We expect that SaaS solutions will account for 6% of the total network automation and orchestration (NAO) revenue worldwide by 2027; this is lower than the share expected in the overall operations support systems (OSS) market (11%). Nonetheless, SaaS-based NAO revenue will exceed USD1 billion by 2027.
