5G network automation is driving network automation and orchestration revenue growth

The worldwide network automation and orchestration (NAO) market grew by 5.1% between 2019 and 2020 to USD8.8 billion due to the continued adoption of automation solutions, the virtualisation of the 4G core and the deployment of the cloud-native 5G core. Communications service provider (CSP) spending on network control and orchestration (NCO) technology also grew during this timeframe (by 16.5%). Huawei accounted for 19% of the total NAO revenue in 2020.
