Analysys Mason attended the GSMA Open Gateway Analyst Day in London on 2 April 2025. At the event, members of the Open Gateway initiative – Infobip, Telefónica and Vodafone – highlighted the progress of network APIs and shared their plans to accelerate commercialisation and drive further innovation in the API ecosystem.
A main theme of the event was unlocking enterprise and developer demand beyond anti-fraud use cases and financial services. However, progress remains limited, with little clarity or evidence of strong demand for broader use cases. In contrast, anti-fraud, security and verification services continue to drive CAMARA API adoption worldwide and are delivering tangible commercial outcomes.
