"Service providers' lack of access to low-cost spectrum has been one of the barriers to private LTE network deployment, but even in the cases where there are favourable spectrum regulations, industry players should collaborate to facilitate deployments."

There are many use cases that require private LTE, but these cannot be delivered unless an ecosystem of devices and customer premises equipment (CPE) is developed. Many players in the telecoms industry (including industry forums, network equipment vendors (NEPs) and mobile network operators (MNOs)) have collaborated over the last 10 years to develop private LTE cellular network technology, but the number of deployments of the necessary infrastructure remains limited.
