The IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) market will experience near-term growth and long-term stability, supported by trends such as 5G standalone (5G SA) migration, 2G/3G sunsetting, cloud-native adoption and voice over New Nadio (VoNR). However, cloud-native capabilities will be the main differentiator for vendors, and they should aim to prove they can deliver a simplified, highly automated and agile IMS that supports operator objectives in terms of reducing total cost of ownership and improving resilience.
