26 August 2020 | Research
Case study | PPTX and PDF (43 slides) | IoT and M2M Services
This report analyses and compares the IoT connectivity offerings of several IoT connectivity disruptors. The report outlines the companies’ strategies for delivering IoT connectivity and the implications of these approaches for other connectivity providers, including mobile network operators (MNOs) that are competing to supply IoT connectivity.
This report is the fourth in a series of reports on IoT companies. The first three reports in this series are IoT MVNOs: case studies and analysis (Volume I), IoT MVNOs: case studies and analysis (volume II) and IoT MVNOs: case studies and analysis (volume III). In the previous three volumes, we referred to ‘IoT MVNOs’, but we have expanded our definition in this report to include all alternative IoT connectivity providers and enablers.
This report provides:
- an overview and analysis of IoT connectivity disruptors’ strategies, including their current business and their future ambitions
- analysis of IoT connectivity disruptors’ strengths and weaknesses
- implications for MNOs and the IoT connectivity market.
The following companies are featured in case studies.
Operators should follow the move of Singtel, Telefónica and TELUS to invest in IoT connectivity start-ups
