Satellite connectivity is emerging as a critical layer for extending safety and resilience beyond terrestrial networks as vehicles evolve into software-defined, always-connected platforms. This report examines consumer demand for satellite-enabled connected car services and analyses the commercial challenges of translating high interest into sustainable revenue.

Survey data coverage
The survey was conducted in association with Dynata in July 2025. The survey groups were chosen to be representative of the mobile-using population in selected countries around the world. We set quotas on age, gender and income. There were at least 1000 respondents per country (except in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, where there were 750 respondents).
