Matt is a Managing Partner at Analysys Mason with over 24 years’ experience at the company, having directed hundreds of client consulting projects. In recent years, he has led numerous commercial and technical due diligence projects for infrastructure investors and telecoms operators covering B2C, B2B and pan-European fibre assets – a recent example is his work for KPN on its fibre joint venture with Dutch pension fund, APG.
Matt also has a long history advising on broadband policy at both UK and European levels, as well as providing advice on national broadband plans around the world. In 2021, he was invited to participate in two panels covering ‘Telecommunication industry in the post-COVID-19 world’ for ITU’s Economic Experts Roundtable. Some of his recent client work has focused on improving broadband connectivity in developing markets.
Matt has also acted as an expert witness in competition cases relating to wholesale networks in the UK and Ireland. Matt holds a PhD in aerospace engineering from the University of Manchester.
