Analysys Mason projects that worldwide network spend on private networks will increase from under USD3 billion in 2025 to USD7.5 billion in 2030. This represents rapid growth, but the spend will remain small in comparison to public networks (equivalent to around 5% of the latter by 2030).

The longer-term prospects for operators and vendors in the private networks market are positive. Private network players are gradually addressing two of the biggest barriers to adoption: cost and complexity. Other opportunities also exist, such as 5G time-sensitive networking. These may be a few years away from being deployed at scale, but they point to a bigger future role for private networks.
